If you have never
trotted or cantered in the mountains set yourself for a new experience, the well
trained quarter horses, thoroughbreds and pacers provide a great ride for all
levels.
At the
introduction you are shown how to communicate with your horse and how to ride
safely in the bush
Inexperienced:
don't be shy, 80% of our guests ride very little or not at all
Safety helmets are provided for all riders & lots of
friendly tuition for all those in need of a gentle reminder or just a bit of good old
encouragement.
Children must
be over 10 years of age to do the ride
Riders are required to
wear shoes/boots with small heels
The Mountain Trail Rides climb
through lush sub-tropical rainforest on Mt Moollootoo directly behind our bunkhouse /
stables complex, At the peak riders have extensive views over Morton National Park
(regularly photographed behind a variety of friendly cowboys & cowgirls.)
We have put together a herd of outstanding mounts, out of
the 70 horses purchased only 32 have been selected for all around suitability. The
criteria we use emphasize safety and performance, each horse is ridden and trained by our
staff for approximately three months in all conditions and each must pass our rigorous
selection process.We have also incorporated several cantering and trotting areas for the
skilled and adventurous and organized the ride so that the novice can feel
secure under the guidance of our experienced trail leaders.
As
the ride is very popular it is essential to book in advance
