What we do:
The Mountain Trail Rides/Horse Rides climb through lush rainforest on Mt Moollootoo, one of the highest mountains in the Kangaroo Valley (530 meters above sea level). From the peak of Moollootoo there are panoramic views of the property, the Morton National park, Lake Yurunga and the Kangaroo River, some of the most beautiful horse riding in Australia, a perfect backdrop for photographs of cowboys and cowgirls on horseback.
We have put together a herd of outstanding horses for horseback riding. Only about a third of the horses we trial have met our standards for all around suitability. Our selection criteria emphasize safety and performance. Each horse is ridden and trained by our staff for approximately three months in all conditions and each must pass our rigorous selection process. We have also incorporated several cantering areas for the skilled and adventurous, and organized the ride so that the novice can feel secure under the guidance of our experienced trail leaders.

Average time 2 hours - (allow 3 hours for instruction, preparation and ride)
We can accommodate riders up to 90kg/14 stone maximum
As the ride is very popular it is essential to book in advance (telephone 02 44651912- payment required at time of booking)
Children must be over 10 years of age to do the ride.
Riders are required to wear flat soled shoes/boots with small heels and long pants
Inexperienced: Don't be shy! 80% of our guests ride very little or not at all!
Safety helmets are provided for all riders & lots of friendly tuition for all those in need of a gentle reminder or just a bit of good old encouragement
Cost: $85/person.

Horse riding refund policy,
We
take a limited number of people on the trail ride and when you book we often
turn away others who may wish to book with us, we also employ people to take you
on the ride
1)
Customers who cancel with 24 hours or more notice we will refund in full.
2)
If The Man from Kangaroo Valley Trail Ride cancels for any reason we will refund
in full.
3)
Customers who cancel within 24 hours before the ride we will issue a gift
certificate to the equivalent value of the horse ride, this can be used within
the next 12 months to rebook the ride or be used towards accommodation costs
when you stay with us (NO REFUND).
